Are You Ready for Some Football?
august 27, 2010 | author: scott

The start of the 2010 NFL season is just around the corner. The season will kick off on September 9th with the Saints hosting the Vikings, but the game I'm most looking forward to is Da Bears vs. the Detroit Lions. You can bet I'll be sporting our new Shuffle tee during the game.

If you haven't gotten your Shuffle tee yet, you better hurry, we only have THREE left! We'll be printing another run soon so, if your size is currently sold out, email me at scott@instantclassictees.com if you're interested in being put on the pre-order list.

I'm Going Back to Cali
august 9, 2010 | author: scott

This evening my wife and I will be leaving for a much needed vacation to visit family in San Diego. It's a fact, it's the greatest city in the history of man kind. How lucky am I to have in-laws living in Southern California?

Since I'll be soaking up rays, eating sushi, and enjoying perfect weather, I'm going to make you a deal and offer FREE SHIPPING on ALL DOMESTIC ORDERS from today until our return home onTuesday the 17th. As usual I'll package and ship all orders ASAP upon my return. I also anticipate my initial Shuffle tee order from Ink Screens to be here by the time vacation is over. That's exciting news for all of you who pre-ordered. Didn't pre-order? Better hurry if you want to get your hands on this tee in time for the start of football season, only 5 left!

I'll keep you all posted on our adventures in San Diego via Twitter and Facebook. I leave you with one of my favorite Cali songs, far superior than Katy Perry's latest offering.

Proof Nike's Marketing Tactics Work
august 8, 2010 | author: scott

If you follow me on Twitter, then chances are you know I love to play basketball. If there is such a thing as an addiction to basketball, then count me as an addict. Seriously, I want to play everyday and, if it weren't for shin splints, I probably would. As it is now, I play at least every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. That's a lot of hooping. I love the competition, I love the exercise, and yes, I'll admit it . . .

I Iove the fact that playing basketball so frequently gives me an excuse to buy more basketball shoes.

Is my obsession with basketball shoes odd? Maybe. But, as the saying goes, if it's wrong, well, then I don't want to be right. (I'm kidding--or am I?)

As of right now, I own nine pairs of basketball shoes. Some might say nine pairs is overkill. I just say it's awesome. For some reason, Nike is always my brand of choice, with Lebron's and Jordan's as my favorites (though I just added a pair of Steve Nash's to the rotation). Despite having so many pairs of shoes, I'm not a collector. I wear all my shoes and beat the crap out of them in the process. I'm always on the lookout for my next pair, so if you have any suggestions send them my way - scott@instantclassictees.com

Interesting fact: I've never worn any of these shoes outdoors. (Interesting fact #2: My wife thinks putting nine photos of my shoes in this blog is funny.)

Did you know this colorway violated the NBA's uniform rules and MJ was fined $5000 per game for wearing them?

A NERD in Japan
august 2, 2010 | author: scott

Around mid-July, I heard the familiar ding on my iPhone which kindly alerts me that I've got new email. I opened my email to find that I had just received my first international order. The awesome Moriyuki Yamada had just taken Instant Classic global! To large corporations or more established brands, this might not be all that exciting, but to me this was HUGE news! Somehow, someone halfway around the world had found my brand and liked it enough to purchase two of my tees (en Francais and I'm a NERD for those keeping score at home). It's cool to know that two ideas that were born in my head and printed on a t-shirt are now being worn in Japan.

Although we've talked through email, I want to take the opportunity to thank Moriyuki Yamada again for his purchase and for taking the time to send me a picture of him wearing his Instant Classic NERD tee. My brand is small and I'm really trying to expand and get exposure. It's emails like the one below that give me the motivation to keep moving forward and pouring time into Instant Classic. Thanks for your support!
